The History of the Ice Cream Cone

As one of the legends go, the Ice Cream Cone was said to be invented in 1904 at the World’s Fair in St. Louis, by a man named Ernest Hamwi. It seems that Hamwi, a Syrian waffle concessionaire, offered his products to a nearby ice cream vendor who ran out of dishes for his ice cream. By rolling the ice cream into his waffle, he not only sold more waffles, but became one of the inventors of the modern day waffle cone.
